Biography
Cavin Lim is a Singaporean lens-based artist. Through documenting personal and everyday encounters, he seeks to give form to feelings that are often difficult to name, looking to images as a way of holding onto these experiences and making sense of them. His works explore the subjective experience of memory, questioning nostalgia and reshaping the self by re-encountering personal landmark events.
He is a graduate of Lasalle College of the Arts and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts awarded in partnership with Goldsmiths. He is currently exhibiting as part of DECK’s Undescribed #11, and previously at Art Outreach, Earl Lu Gallery and Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore.
